Welcome to the World of Fine Art

Born in Belgrade in 1952, then the capital of Yugoslavia, his journey began in early childhood. He spent his formative years with his grandmother in the mountain town of Kruševo, one of the highest towns in Europe. Raised in a traditional family with strong ties to the church, he was first introduced to visual culture through the luminous frescoes and sacred iconography that surrounded him during childhood.

From a young age, creativity became a natural part of his life. In his uncle’s stable, surrounded by domestic animals, he began drawing on the walls, revealing an early passion for artistic expression. These early experiences shaped his sense of curiosity and dedication to creativity.

In 1960, following the sudden death of his uncle, he returned to live with his parents in Sarajevo. Entering a new cultural and linguistic environment broadened his perspective. During his elementary school years, an encouraging art teacher recognized his talent and inspired him to continue developing his creative abilities, leading him to participate in youth exhibitions and community events.

Although he showed strong potential, he was not accepted into the High School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo. At that time, admission was often influenced by political connections within the Yugoslav system. Rather than discouraging him, this experience strengthened his determination. He continued improving his skills by visiting studios and working alongside established artists in cities such as Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Zagreb.

In 1980, seeking broader opportunities and new experiences, he moved to Ljubljana. Adapting to a new social and cultural environment required patience, but over time he established himself as a professional freelance artist and began presenting his work through exhibitions in various cultural and business venues.
